Malling in Metro Manila - Philippines

Of the various activities that tourists visiting can indulge in, malling in Metro Manila can be considered one of a kind, as probably nowhere else in the world has this phenomenon become so prevalent.

For those unfamiliar with the word, the term malling is an all encompassing expression that describes the various activities that one can do in a shopping mall. There was a time of course, when shopping malls meant a place where people buy goods and merchandise. However as time passed by they have grown into sprawling entertainment centers.

If your idea of malling in Metro Manila is to shop and dine in style, then Greenbelt in Makati is the way to go. Upscale brand names, from perfume to clothing, are sold in the stores here, and there are several high class restaurants in this complex. There is also a museum, movie houses and many more.

Another place where you can go malling in Metro Manila is the Gateway in Quezon City, which is situated beside the famous Araneta Coliseum. Also in Quezon City is SM North EDSA, one of the most popular shopping malls in the Philippines. If you want more affordable but no less enjoyable shopping experiences, then the Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan City is a good option. The shops here sell everything from jewelry to souvenirs for tourists to clothes, all reasonably priced.

To reach Greenhills from Manila, board a bus at Recto Avenue labeled Rizal and tell the conductor your destination is Greenhills. If you are coming from somewhere just take any bus or jeepney at EDSA and head to Robinsons Galleria from where you can reach Greenhills.

With the number of shopping and entertainment centers in the metropolis growing, expect more varied forms of entertainment to emerge, and along with that, the fun that comes with malling in Metro Manila to grow by leaps and bounds.
