Greenbelt Park in Manila - Philippines
Of the numerous shopping malls in the Philippines, one of the most accessible and popular is Greenbelt Park. Its innovative design and construction is being copied by other establishments, but its features and facilities continue to make it the top crowd drawer.
Encompassing over one and a half million square ft, the Greenbelt Park is actually a section of the greater Greenbelt, which is divided into four sections.
The original Greenbelt consists of several shops and stores, making it an ideal location for buying handicrafts and several other local goods and products. This was the very first of the four that were built but it still retains its charms and frequented by tourists, office employees and other young professionals.
The second section, which is not far off the Greenbelt Park, is the place to go to for dining and eating. There are several fine restaurants here filled with every imaginable cuisine and food, from original Filipino delicacies to fast food snacks. Greenbelt 3 meanwhile, is the entertainment hub of the entire complex. The main cinema is located here, complete with all the modern facilities to make the movie going experience more enjoyable. There are also numerous music bars and other entertainment spots.
It is at the fourth section that Greenbelt Park is located. Besides the luxuriant greens, there is also a beautiful fish pond, a café and the Ayala Museum. Here you can peruse some of the priceless artifacts and relics concerning Philippine history and culture. Once you have finished going through the museum, you can just chill out and savor the fresh breeze, or listen to the hauntingly beautiful sounds emanating from the chapel also located in the area.
The Greenbelt Park is located at Makati Avenue. Getting to the location will only necessitate taking a taxi cab, and informing the driver you want to go to Makati Avenue, or you can just tell the driver to take you to Greenbelt.
Like the other sections in the complex, Greenbelt Park is frequented by a lot of people, not just to relish the views but also to do some shopping, as some of the finest shops in the Philippines are situated here.
The myriad attractions at Greenbelt Park, of which a handful have been described here, are the reasons why despite the rise of several shopping malls in the Philippines, it continues to remain at the top of the most visited sites in the country.
